Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick Answers to Pricing and Assessment Questions

  • How Many Licenses Do I Need?

The number of licenses you need depends on which team you’re assessing and how that team works together day to day.

As a general rule, Grozaic works best when used with intact teams - groups of people who work closely together and share responsibility for outcomes.

  • Who should be included in a team assessment?

    We recommend including:

    • The team leader
    • Their direct reports
    • Individuals who work very closely with the team on a regular basis

This typically results in teams of 5-10 people, which produces the clearest and most actionable insights.

  • Who should not be included in the same team assessment?

We generally recommend not including multiple layers of hierarchy in a single team assessment.

    For example:

    • Avoid including a leader, their direct reports, and those direct reports’ teams all together.
    • Including two or more levels can dilute the data and make it harder to understand where specific challenges are coming from.

Grozaic is designed to help you see how a specific team is functioning, not to blur dynamics across multiple layers at once.

  • How should Grozaic be used across multiple teams or layers?

In multi-team or larger organizations, Grozaic is most effective when used in layers, not all at once.

A common and recommended approach is:

    • Leader + direct reports complete an assessment together.
    • Those direct reports then act as leaders of their own teams.
    • Each team completes a separate assessment focused on their own working relationships.

    This allows you to:

    • Pinpoint challenges at the right level
    • Compare patterns across teams
    • Avoid confusion about where issues are originating
    • Create clearer, more targeted development actions
  • What about people who aren’t formally part of the team but work closely with them?

In some cases, it makes sense to include closely aligned individuals, even if they don’t sit directly within the team structure.

    Examples include:

    • A Sales Development Representative (SDR) who works closely with a Sales team
    • An Executive Assistant who is deeply embedded in a leadership team
    • A key partner or role that interacts with the team daily

    If someone:

    • Regularly attends team meetings
    • Is affected by the team’s ways of working
    • Contributes meaningfully to outcomes

…it may be worthwhile including them in the assessment.

    When in doubt, ask:

“Is this person meaningfully part of how this team functions?”

  • How do I calculate licenses if I’m assessing multiple teams?

Licenses are purchased per individual, per team assessment.

To estimate how many licenses you need:

    • List each team you plan to assess
    • Count the number of people in each team
    • Add them together across all teams

Important: If the same person participates in more than one team assessment, they should be counted each time

    .

    For example:

    • A leader may complete one assessment as part of their leader’s team (as a direct report), and
    • Complete a second assessment as the leader of their own team (with their direct reports)

In that case, that individual would require two licenses, because they are participating in two separate team assessments.

  • Can I add more licenses later?

Yes. Once you’re inside the platform, you can purchase additional licenses at any time if your needs change or you’ve miscounted.

All licenses are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

    If you:

    • Undercount, you can easily add more licenses as needed
    • Overcount, you can use the additional licenses for:
      • Another team
      • A future assessment
      • A reassessment later in the year

This flexibility means you don’t need to get the numbers perfect upfront — you can adjust as you go.

  • Why do we count people more than once?

Because each assessment captures a person’s experience and impact within a specific team context.

The same leader will show up differently:

    • as a team member on one team, and
    • as the leader on another

Those are two distinct views — and both are valuable.

  • Can Grozaic be used to assess dynamics between two teams?

Yes — Grozaic can be used to explore the dynamics between two closely connected teams, as long as the assessment is intentionally designed and clearly framed.

For example, if a Sales team and a Marketing team are experiencing challenges in how they work together, both teams can be included in a single assessment, provided the context is set appropriately.

    In this case:

    • Count all individuals across both teams when purchasing licenses
    • Label the assessment clearly (e.g. Sales & Marketing – Shared Ways of Working)
    • Set the assessment context to focus on how the two teams collaborate, communicate, and execute together, rather than on internal team dynamics alone.

This approach works best when the two teams:

    • Interact regularly
    • Share dependencies or handoffs
    • Experience friction or misalignment in day-to-day work
  • When should teams be assessed separately instead?

If the goal is to understand:

    • Internal team leadership dynamics
    • Role clarity within a single team
    • Accountability and decision-making inside one team

…it’s usually better to assess each team separately.

Grozaic is flexible, but clarity of intent matters.

Being explicit about what system you’re assessing leads to more meaningful insights and actions.

  • Can Grozaic be used at offsites or in-person sessions?

Yes. Grozaic can be used as part of live, in-person facilitated sessions, including team offsites or leadership gatherings.

In these cases, we’ll work with you to design the right approach and either deliver the session through our team or connect you with one of our certified and preferred partners, depending on your needs and location.
